Standard End Suction Pumps
These range from the small domestic & industrial designs to conformed standards such as ISO, DIN & ANSI. They are found in almost every manufacturing facility, municipality & mine around the world.
Advantages
Generally low cost, however this changes with the fluid type
Simple, effective & efficient way of moving water & other cool clean fluids
International standards allows choice & ability to change out easily
Tolerates a broad range in flow changes
Relatively inexpensive to repair with a back ‘pull-out’ design
Little maintenance required
Limitations
Most centrifugal pumps cannot process entrained air in the fluid
Must use special styles to self prime
Limited to around 300cSt viscosity fluids
Care must be taken when designing the pipework, especially the intake side.
Limited sealing options
