Gear Pumps

Meshing gears displace fluid around the outer peripheral of the inner casing at a relatively uniform flow as each revolution displaces a constant amount of fluid. They are widely used for handling high viscosity fluids such as oils, grease, fuels, bitumen typically & also fair well with other fluids such as chocolate, paint, ink & resins.

Rotary Lobe Pumps

Lobe pumps are similar to gear pumps in operation where flow moves around the outer interior of the casing however the lobes do not make contact with each other nor any other part of the casing.

This lends itself well to the sanitary & food industries where very little contamination from pump internal wear occurs and CIP practices for cleaning & sterilisations can be easily introduced.
